Rex4media in Frankfurt: a night to remember at the German Design Award

On 6 February, Rex4media travelled to Messe Frankfurt to attend the German Design Award 2026 gala. The event brought together 1,300 leaders from the worlds of design, culture and international business, and marked a major milestone for our agency as the only Spanish marketing agency to be recognised in its category.

The event gave our team the opportunity to connect with international media and take part in the Confessions Talks, where experts from different disciplines explored the future of visual communication.

Recognition for the NU Mallorca project

The project we developed for the NU Mallorca Beach Club received an award in the ‘Excellent Communications Design Web’ category. The international jury praised the platform’s ability to capture the Mediterranean light through a technical architecture designed to maximise conversion. The result is commercially focused digital tool designed to drive bookings through smooth, intuitive navigation.

Ángel Cabezas and Javier Regueira represented the agency at an edition marked by the exacting standards of the German Design Council. “This award highlights the quality of our work and drives us to keep moving towards our goals,” said Ángel Cabezas after the ceremony.

Naoto Fukasawa: the power of the invisible

One of the highlights of the gala was the recognition of Naoto Fukasawa, named ‘Personality of the Year’. The Japanese industrial designer has shaped the international design landscape with an approach centred on absolute functionality expressed through restraint. His philosophy is that design reaches its highest expression when it blends so seamlessly into everyday life that users no longer register it as something consciously designed.

“When people use an object without even realising it has been designed, that is when it truly does its job,” explains Fukasawa.

Competitive standards

Our success in Frankfurt reflects the application of technical criteria now expected by global markets:

  • Use of technologies that anticipate digital user behaviour.
  • Visual coherence that enhances perceived brand value.
  • Design capable of connecting with audiences across different regions of the world.

Your strategic partner for the future

As an official Google Partner, Rex4media applies these methodologies to 360-degree marketing strategies focused on maximising the profitability of digital assets. Our experience in Germany further strengthens our ability to transform business models and set them apart from direct competitors.
